3.1. The ON indicator is the output status indicator. It lights when the output terminal has voltage, otherwise it is off.
How to use
4.1. Use as a common buck-boost module with over-current protection
(1) Adjust the CV constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the voltage value you want.
(2) Use the multimeter 10A current range to measure the output short-circuit current (just connect the two test leads to the output terminal), and adjust the CC constant current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined overcurrent protection value. (For example, the current value displayed by the multimeter is 2A, then the maximum current can only reach 2A when you use the module, and the red constant voltage and constant current indicator lights when the current reaches 2A, otherwise the indicator is off)
Note: When used in this state, due to the current sampling resistor at the output, there will be a voltage drop of 0~0.2V after connecting the load. At the same time, when there is a large current, the input wire and output wire will have a certain line voltage drop , This is normal!
4.2. Use as a battery charger
The module without constant current function can not be used to charge the battery. Due to the large voltage difference between the exhausted battery and the charger, the charging current is too large and the battery is damaged. Current charging, when the charging reaches a certain level, it will automatically switch back to constant voltage charging.
(1) Determine the float charge voltage and charge current of the rechargeable battery; (if the lithium battery parameter is 3.7V/2200mAh, then the float charge voltage is 4.2V, the maximum charge current is 1C, which is 2200mA)
(2) Under no-load conditions , The multimeter measures the output voltage, adjust the constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the float charge voltage; (If the 3.7V lithium battery is charged, the output voltage can be adjusted to 4.2V)
(3) Use the multimeter 10A current file to measure the output short circuit current (Connect the two test leads directly to the output terminal), and adjust the constant current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined charging current value;
(4) Connect the battery and charge.
(Steps 1, 2, and 3 are: the input end is connected to the power supply, and the output end is no-load and not connected to the battery)
4.3. Used as a high-power LED constant current drive module
(1) Determine the working current and maximum working voltage of the LED you need to drive;
(2) Under no-load conditions, the multimeter measures the output voltage and adjusts the constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the maximum working voltage of the LED;
(3) Use a multimeter 10A current range to measure the output short-circuit current, and adjust the constant current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined LED working current;
(4) Connect the LED and test the machine.
(Steps 1, 2, and 3 are: the input is connected to the power supply, the output is no load and the LED light is not connected.)
Note: When this module is used over 3A, 35W, please strengthen the heat dissipation! ! !
5. Matters needing attention:
5.1. Module input IN- prohibition and output OUT- short circuit, otherwise the constant current function is invalid.
5.2. Please ensure that the power of the power supply is always greater than the power required by the output load!
5.3. If the module wants to output at full load, the input voltage should be above 8V. When the input voltage is 5V, the output power is about 15W, and the voltage and current meter are invalid. The maximum current value of the module is 4A, the premise is limited to the maximum output power, such as output 17V, the current should not be greater than 2A.
5.4. The module is equipped with output short-circuit protection. After short-circuit protection, the module automatically shuts down the output, and the module can be restored by powering on again. If your power supply does not have output current limit protection, it is recommended to connect a fuse in series in front of the module input to improve the safety factor.
5.5. The module has input under-voltage protection function, the default is about 4.7V, when it is lower than this value, the output will be automatically disconnected, and the module can be restored by powering on again (note that the voltage at the module port, when the input current is relatively large Do not ignore the partial voltage on the input wire).
