If you connect a computer audio signal, use the 36dD amplifier to amplify the sound too much, and the sound is distorted and unpleasant, you should lower the computer volume, if the computer is not easy to adjust, you can short-circuit the 26dB pad on the power amplifier board, so the volume is much lower , Or input a series resistance to the power amplifier board to reduce the volume (the input resistance of the power amplifier board is 1K, use the 200-1000 ohm resistor divider in series to change the volume of the power amplifier, so that the power amplifier will not appear amplification saturation distortion), so that the amplified sound is not distorted and not unpleasant .
The disadvantage of using 36dB amplifier gain: If the audio equipment has a weak noise signal when it is muted (no sound is played), the 36dB amplifier will amplify the noise a lot, so some customers say why the amplifier has no sound and there is a lot of noise (because The noise comes from the input signal source. Disconnect the input audio cable of the power amplifier board and there is no noise in the speaker) Short- circuit the 26dB gain pad of the power amplifier , the noise has been improved. Note for the power amplifier board:
1. After the power amplifier board is powered, the DC voltage between the two pads of the speaker is 0V, and the DC voltage between the speaker pad and GND is half of the power supply voltage.
2. Choose 4 ohm speakers and the power supply voltage should not exceed 16V, otherwise the chip will overheat and damage the amplifier. Use 8 ohm speakers, and the power supply voltage should not exceed 24V, otherwise the voltage will break down the power amplifier chip.
3. After the power amplifier board is powered on, your hands cannot touch the pins of the components on the board, because the human body interference signal interferes with the timing of the digital power amplifier, causing damage to the chip, and the human body is charged with static electricity-strong high voltage will break down and damage the chip, and the human body will be harmed by static electricity. Be sure to know.
4. The power supply voltage should be stable, try to use switching power supply and battery power supply. The power supply must not exceed the working voltage of the board, otherwise the chip will be burnt out, and the digital power amplifier will be very delicate, not comparable to the analog power amplifier, and the working method is completely different.
5. The speaker wiring should be controlled within 3 meters with the audio cable. If the cable is too long, the inductance of the load will increase and the self-inductance voltage will be too high to break down the power amplifier chip. It is recommended to add a diode (IN5819) to realize the self-inductance voltage when connecting to the speaker. The release protection chip.
6. There is basically no need to add a heat sink to an 8-ohm speaker. If the chip temperature is higher than 60 degrees, it will stop working immediately and add a heat sink fan to heat it, otherwise the chip will be burned immediately if the temperature rises.
7. The speaker power must be greater than 30W in order to test the power amplifier normally, otherwise it will affect the normal operation of the power amplifier. We tested the 4 ohm 300W stage speaker with a sensitivity of 95dB. The rated power of the speaker must be greater than the output power of the amplifier. Otherwise, because the speaker power is too small, the short circuit between the turns of the voice coil will cause the power amplifier to not work properly and damage the power amplifier.
Reminder : The power amplifier board defaults to 36DB gain, and the computer input can only turn on the maximum volume of 20%, otherwise it will cause serious distortion of the amplification, serious heating of the power amplifier chip, and damage to the speaker. The phone input can be turned on at 90% volume, because the audio signal of the phone is much weaker than the computer. If the computer wants to turn on the volume of 90%, the gain of the power amplifier board must be reduced, and the two 26DB gain pads on the board must be shorted. Once the input audio signal is too strong, the gain of the power amplifier must be reduced, otherwise the power amplifier will be distorted and severely distorted-exceeding the output power of the power amplifier will damage the chip.
Common sense problem of electronic power supply : 24V voltage cannot be directly supplied to the power amplifier board instantly, because 24V is directly supplied to the power amplifier board, the voltage is too high, the capacitor is instantaneously short-circuited, the current will be super large, plus the 36DB gain of the power amplifier, the capacitor instantaneously strong current mutation , It will be greatly amplified by the 36DB power amplifier, the power amplifier chip exceeds its own output power and breakdown and short circuit damage. The 24V voltage can only be switched on by the switching power supply, and the 220V voltage can be started to buffer the starting 24V voltage, thereby restraining the instantaneous high current problem. (For 24V battery or lithium battery power supply, only 1-2 ohm 5W resistors can be connected in series with the VCC pin to limit the current, thereby reducing the problem of excessive instantaneous current.)
Many years of experience of R&D personnel : It is not recommended to use the default 36DB gain. The amplification ability is too strong, and signals with weak noise are easy to be amplified. Once the input signal is too strong, the power amplifier is prone to distortion and serious distortion amplification-exceeding the output power of the chip itself will damage the chip.
